Key dates to know:
- November 15, 2008 is the first day people with Medicare who qualify for a prescription drug plan can enroll or switch into a Medicare prescription drug plan.
- December 31, 2008 is the last day you can enroll (unless you qualify for an exception).
- January 1, 2009 is the first day you can use your Medicare prescription drug benefit, if you enrolled between November 15, 2008 and December 31, 2008.
